So I’m currently overseas so can’t go to my banks in Japan to fill out the necessary paperwork which appears to be required to transfer Yen to an international multi-currency account I have. Figured I’d use Wise (which I already have) and which was written up by TokyoCheapo here.
The crunch is, Wise now appears to have a minimum requirement of over 1,000,000 Yen for an international transfer, and “local regulations” deny transfer above 1,000,000 Yen. This effectively makes it impossible to perform a Wise transfer of Yen.
Anybody have any other ideas?
Note that I don’t want to exchange the Yen to another currency.
