Hello fellow travellers
Regarding Shinkansen tickets, Hyperdia refers to the "fare " and the “seat fee” . Is the seat fee the cost of the reserved seat and hence optional ? I am wondering if simply paying the “fare” gets you into the unreserved seat carriage?
