OK, so I know your supposed to slurp when eating ramen. But what if you’re just sipping the broth? Do you still slurp then?
I think you do not have to slurp when sipping the broth. Empty the bowl, that is the best comment for a Ramen broth!

truthfully you’re overthinking it. you should eat it how you wish and naturally you’ll start doing the slurp. i grew up in a japanese household but never really got down to the slurp mode until way later on in life. non japanese folks make it a point because it’s drastically different from western etiquette.
