OK, I’m a bit confused by all this Wi-Fi Hotspot stuff. We will be in Japan for about 4 weeks and then Europe - Italy for a couple months, so I’ve decided purchasing an unlocked hotspot is the way to go. Besides I always seem to have trouble with iphone sim cards!
I’ll be purchasing a hotspot device before arriving in Japan, but what do I do for a SIM card? I’ve read some are data only (no voice) and will any SIM card work, or will I need a special “Hotspot” SIM card. Can I just pick one up at a vending machine?
