Onsen at Tokyo

Can’t wait for my coming trip to tokyo on the 10th of May 2014. As this is my 1st time steping to the land of rising sun i would like to know is there any recommendation to try Onsen somewhere around the Tokyo city. Appreciate your advise

Hi there, see the following posts. Hope they help. It's a Naked Party - It's All Very Clean | Tokyo Cheapo https://tokyocheapo.com/entertainment/tokyos-top-5-cheapo-baths/ If you’re after a real onsen experience though, you’d be best to book an onsen out in the countryside. Places like Gunma, Yamanashi, Tochigi and Nagano are better known for onsen.

Not an Onsen, but a public bath (sento) - Daikokuyu is about a 10 minute walk from Kita-Senju station. An excellent traditional old public bath in Tokyo. 450 yen, and I got there on my JR pass - BYO soap/shampoo/towel, or buy there.

So far Oedo onsen is one of the best onsen within Tokyo. You can also try Hakone onsens
