If l use the hot springs in Hakone are towels provided ?
Also will l be allowed in with tattoos?

Hi Tony,
It’s difficult to say as there are so many different hot springs in Hakone. Many, but not all, have towel hire (they’re never provided free.) Also, some may not allow tattoos while others will be fine with them and others may ask you to cover them with something that looks like a large band-aid (they sell these at the front desk).
Anyway, you just have to ask. You could also get your accommodation to call ahead and find out. It’s a common issue so they probably already know the onsen that allow tattoos in the area.
