Cheapo Gifts to Bring to Tokyo

we’re visiting Tokyo for the first time this summer and want to bring small gifts with us as thank yous. Any ideas on stuff that you can’t actually find in Tokyo? We live in LA and had someone bring back green tea from Japan for us and it was the same stuff sold at our own neighborhood Japanese grocery store — I’m just hoping not to do the same in reverse. What don’t you have?! Thanks for any ideas.

Girl scout cookies and Mexican food are always a great start.

Things I always bring over that are expensive or hard to get in Japan: honey and jams, herb tea, olive paste, belgium chocolate, rye crackers. Note meat & dairy products aren’t meant to be allowed, but my GF sneaked in a suitcase full of sausages when we game back from Germany a few years back,
