Hi, I am a bit lost about the Tokyo train lines. Which line is good for which attraction? Is there an easy summary somewhere that would help me to choose our accommodation for 12 nights?
Or I am happy if someone can recommend a local guide who can help me to plan our stay.

There is no one easy answer, as the best train line will really depend on what your itinerary looks like. What sort of activities do you have planned?
If it’s a mixed bag of things but they are all in the broader Tokyo area, staying somewhere central like Shinjuku or Shibuya, or alternatively Ikebukuro or Ueno could be convenient. These areas are all very well-connected with the trains, so you should be able to access just about anything within a reasonable commute.
