Lists some great ones. I would recommend one more. MapsMe, available for both iOS and Android devices, is a great alternative to Google Maps. It is free, does not require you be connected to the internet, uses GPS for aiding navigation, you can easily create bookmarks for locations and share them.
Being a super cheapo I don’t get a portable wifi unit and travel with data off on my iPhone. MapMe allows me to bookmark locations before the trip, and during the trip I can add different colored bookmarks for items I was to read about when I return home.
Does anyone else use MapsMe?
